The Best Cleanser Ever?

Literally the best cleanser ever, that i have tried so far in my life!  Although I can’t take all the credit for this one.  This is all down to my little sis, as she introduced me to this kick ass product by Chanel (I’m such a geek).  If you think your face and eyes are clean think again, the Chanel lait douceur cleansing milk balance + anti-pollution face and eyes is one beautiful product, leaving your skin clean, fresh and well moisturised.

How we met…

Every-night without fail i thoroughly remove my make up and wash my face, one night my sister insisted i try her cleanser.  I was reluctant at first but I finally tried it and cringed at what the cleanser actually absorbed from my skin, i had just come out of the bath for goodness sake! This cleanser absorbs dirt and makeup you didn’t even know existed!

Chanel says…

LAIT DOUCEUR cleanses normal and combination skin, while keeping its ecosystem balanced. Its soft fluid texture with a velvety finish eliminates pollutants and impurities with a precious tulip tree extract.

Active Ingredients

At the heart of the formula: intense tulip tree water depollutes and purifies skin. Bio-glucan rebalances its ecosystem.

LAIT DOUCEUR also benefits from mallow extract, known for its softening properties.

Ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic.

To purify the skin while maintaining its balance, CHANEL Research drew inspiration from natural anti-pollution techniques. Adapted to cosmetology, these techniques made it possible to create cleansers and toners that respect the ecology of the skin.

LAIT DOUCEUR perfectly removes makeup from the skin, leaving it supple, silky and radiant.

The best cleanser ever?

At this moment in time, for me, this product takes the title of the best cleanser ever,  it effortlessly removes makeup and cleanses skin gently.  Leaving you feeling moisturised, without the feeling of your pores being clogged.  Although it is quite fragranced i have had no experience of breakouts or skin irritations.

The Price

Okay so this cleanser does come with a hefty price tag.  But it depends on what you value as expensive, it is your face after all 😛 I picked up my Chanel cleanser from Boots for £30 (where i could take advantage of their loyalty points system, everyone’s a winner).

I would repurchase this cleanser but it is expensive and has a 6 month use by date.  I can see improvements in my skin already and i have only used it for a month so we shall see what happens when i run out!

Have you ever used this product, if so what do you think?  Or do you have a cleanser that you swear by? Let us know in the comment section below…

I love trying out and discovering new products especially when they work!  A couple of weeks ago i thought i would check out a new cleanser by Mizon called Egg white Bubble cleanser.

It contains….

Water, Methylglucamine, Butylene Glycol, Lauric Acid, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Pvp, Olive Oil Peg-7 Esters, Myristic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Egg Shell Membrane Extract, Cocamide Dea, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trehalose, Citric Acid, Allantoin, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carica Papaya(Papaya) Fruit Extract, Gypsophila Paniculata Root Extract, Disodium Edta, Dmdm Hydantoin, Fragrance describes Mizon’s Egg White Bubble Cleanser as;

the ultimate purifying and rebalancing daily face wash for all skin types – eliminating pore-clogging dirt and pollutants, whilst gently exfoliating dulling dead skin to effortlessly restore your complexion to its flawless and luminous best. With papaya, bilberry root/leaf, sugar cane, orange, lemon and gypsophila extracts, to dissolve the bonds that bind sluggish and lacklustre cells to skin’s surface; alongside the star ingredient – egg white extract (3,200mg) – which purges pores of impurities to leave your face looking (and feeling) as smooth and silky as porcelain. Hyaluronic acid and trehalose then combine to attract and retain precious moisture, so skin feels comfortably soft and dewy, with a youthful and luminous glow.

IMG_4713 My Thoughts

I was so excited to try this new product and read up on it before i purchased it.  I have oily skin so i thought it would be fine.

I read instructions on how to use the cleanser and followed them exactly, which are;

Apply 3 – 4 pumps to lightly dampened skin, massaging thoroughly to eliminate make up and residue. Rinse with lukewarm (but not hot) water, and then splash your face with cold water (or an icy flannel) to tighten pores.

The next day i woke up with massive boils on my nose and cheeks.  So either the cleanser brought the dirt to the surface of my skin and my pores became clogged or it’s just no good for me.

I have only used it once and i am worried about using it again because i don’t fancy getting massive boils again!

It’s such a shame that my skin reacted to it in this way because at first it seemed like such a nice foam wash cleanser, it has a nice smell, texture etc.  It even feels nice on the skin but i will not be taking any risks with it again.

You can pick this cleanser up from lots of places such as; Urban Outfitters, Amazon, Cultbeauty, PeachandLilly and it retails for about £19.00

From my personal experience this is not the best foam cleanser i have tried, so i wouldn’t recommend it but as i say that’s my personal experience.

Have you ever tried this foam cleanser and had a different experience? Let us know in the comment section below….

And as always thanks for stopping by…

For the last few weeks I have been working with an amazing team at salford university and wanted to share my work we have done on my blog as I am super proud of what my team have achieved!

As part of a live brief, our team worked with the Salford Business School to  promote the MBA program, where we developed a campaign that shows how a MBA student possesses the qualities and skill set found in a superhero.

An important part of the brief is to compose a blog post which I shared a few days ago, it was titled what does MBA stand for?  Our next article I will be sharing with you is titled #WhyMba? This article looks at why you should consider studying your MBA at salford University and what great opportunities there are to go above and beyond.

Yes, so why MBA? This question is often asked on twitter #WhyMBAas people contemplate the decision to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA). To help answer this question, we spoke to current MBA students at Salford Business School and created this list of benefits and advantages of doing an MBA.

One of the biggest advantages of completing an MBA is the enhancement of your employability, in particular at senior level in an organisation. Since the MBA degree is highly valued, having such a qualification opens up the job market, increases your chances of being invited to the interview and therefore provides greater career opportunities.

Preparing you for higher level positions

An MBA program provides an array of enriched knowledge that better prepares graduates for higher level positions within the workplace. Students who complete their undergraduate degree and decide to do a MBA soon after will set themselves apart from their competitors, as they will have substantially upgraded their skill set. However, many MBA programmes are accredited by the global organisation that is Association of MBAs – AMBA – a global network of MBAs. AMBA opens doors to a select MBA community that has a range of networking events and training sessions that helps you to keep your high level knowledge to help you succeed in an executive position.

AMBA logo

For AMBA accredited MBAs such as those offered by Salford Business School

“Candidates must have a minimum of three years full-time post study work experience with evidence of managerial responsibility.”

This also applies to people who have a professional work history and decide to pursue an MBA later in life. They are able to refer to their experience and apply it into theory to produce real world examples and solutions. This enhanced knowledge can then be incorporated into their current and new business ventures.

One of the great benefits of doing an MBA is the potential to expand professional networks. Being in an MBA program allows for regular interaction with like-minded students who wish to excel. In addition, students can also establish close connections with professors and other staff. Building such relationships is advantageous as it could aid with career progression.

Essentially, possessing an MBA degree enhances personal brand equity. A person who accomplishes an MBA signifies that they are highly competent and well-prepared to take on many responsibilities within the workplace.  An MBA graduate represents the ability to overcome challenges and persevere to achieve the best results.

Why MBA at Salford Business School?

Now that the benefits of pursuing an MBA have been established, take a look at the ‘Facts & Surrounding’ in the infographic below to see what the MBA program at Salford University has to offer!
